Jump to heptathlon helps North Vancouver track star score big. Caleigh O’Flaherty shows well at Legion National Championships.

Today, on August 30, New West Record, posted the article under the Sports section on page 43: Spartans’ rising star embraces magnificent seven.

Caleigh, is a multidimensional athlete, a great hurdler with huge aerobic potentials, said her coach Tatjana Mece.

Coming to New Wet Spartans, with the recommendation of John May, of Vancouver Island, one of the best track and field coach in BC, she will score big in the future.

Nina Schultz, Wins First Major International Medal

Silver at Commonwealth Games in Heptathlon, a PB of 6133 points in Gold Coast,-AUSTRALIA

The great news for New Westminster track and field family came today, from Gold Coast, Australia.


Nina Schultz, finished second in Heptathlon, winning her first international medal in Major Games.

Schultz, did a tremendous presentation achieving in the first day the results of:
100mH – 13.47, High Jump- 1.84m, Shot Put-12.13m, 200m-25.02, Long Jump- 6.19m,
and today:
Long Jump- 6.19m, Javelin- 43.11m and finishing 800m,- 2:17:40, with 6133 points.

With these results Nina Schultz, is ranked # 2 in the World at 20128 IAAF Senior List of Heptathlon.
