About the Rascals Program

The Rascals Program provides a fun, safe and welcoming introduction to track and field for children aged 6 to 8. It is a non-competitive program that builds a strong foundation for success in all sports and physical activities.

Our Rascals Program is based on the Long-Term Athletics Development (LTAD) and includes skills such as running, jumping and throwing. The LTAD model encourages children to get involved in sport and physical activities at an early age. Through teaching these “FUNdamentals”, children learn the technical skill progression necessary for future track and field events when they are older.

The 2023 Rascals spring session is for children ages 6-8 (age as of December 31, 2023)

Spring Session: March 31 – June 2, 2023

Location: Mercer Stadium

Dates and Times: Fridays 4:30-5:30pm

Fee: $150.00 + $15.00 BC Athletics membership

Spartans T-shirt $15.00, Spartans hoodie $45.00

Registration must be complete, with all forms submitted, before the practices starts.
